Aievalu vs ElevenLabs: which one for your voice-overs
Prices checked on 12 October 2026, excluding promotions, subject to change. ElevenLabs is a registered trademark of its owner; Aievalu is not affiliated with it.
ElevenLabs is the reference in AI voices, and many creators look for a cheaper alternative without knowing what they would give up. This page answers plainly: where ElevenLabs stays ahead, where Aievalu wins, and who each one is for. Both tools are compared from their public price lists, on the same date, with the same unit, the minute of voice-over (about 1,000 characters; method detailed in our price comparison).

Where ElevenLabs wins
On breadth it is not a contest. ElevenLabs covers more than thirty languages where Aievalu offers two. Its library holds thousands of voices, with accents, ages and styles that four presets cannot match. Voice cloning, instant from $6 a month and professional from $22, lets you produce with your own voice, which Aievalu does not do. Automatic dubbing, sound effects, a very complete API and integrations make it a platform, not just a generator. And the quality of its best models remains, to the ear, among the most natural on the market, especially for expressive English.
If you need a language other than English or French, your own voice, or an API, ElevenLabs is the right choice and the price is justified.
Where Aievalu wins
On price the gap is clear: about €0.09 per minute with the pack, €0.06 to €0.08 on subscription, against $0.17 to $0.20 at ElevenLabs. At comparable quality in English and French, since Aievalu's voices are the presets of Voxtral, Mistral AI's model, a creator pays half. On duration next: the 100,000-character pack stays valid for twelve months. A month without publishing costs nothing, where ElevenLabs' monthly credits vanish. On access finally: the trial needs no account, just two sentences, and commercial use is included from the first euro, with no tiers to decode (see the answer on usage rights).
Aievalu is also simpler, which is a strength or a weakness depending on your needs: one text, one voice among four with three tones, one button, one MP3. No studio, no tracks, no fine tuning. Listen to the voices on the voices page, each reading the same text.
A worked example
Take a creator who publishes four eight-minute videos a month, about 32,000 characters. At ElevenLabs, Starter (30,000 credits) falls just short; they move to Creator at $22 a month and leave nearly 90,000 credits unused every month. At Aievalu, the €9 pack covers three months at that pace, €3 a month; or the Starter subscription at €4.99 for 60,000 characters a month. Over a year the gap runs from $264 to €36 or €60. If the same creator wants their videos in their own cloned voice, the comparison no longer applies: only ElevenLabs does that.
Who should pick which
Pick ElevenLabs if you work in several languages, want to clone a voice, need an API or a very wide library, and accept a monthly subscription. Pick Aievalu if you produce in English or French, want a low and readable price, publish at an irregular pace, and prefer a tool that fits on one screen. The use-case guides go into detail: YouTube voice-over, podcast, and more broadly how an AI voice generator works.
Try before you choose
The right method takes ten minutes: the same 150-character script on both, listened to with headphones. At Aievalu the no-account trial takes two sentences a day; for a real test, the €9 pack commits you to nothing else. The full pricing and the overview of the best AI voice tools round out this head-to-head.
Questions we get asked
Can you switch from one to the other without redoing everything? Yes, in both directions: a script stays a script. Only the voice changes, and listeners will notice the difference in timbre between two videos. If you switch, do it between two series rather than mid-playlist. Is the English quality on par? Voxtral's Paul, Oliver and Jane read numbers, dates and contractions cleanly; ElevenLabs offers far more English voices and, on its top models, a wider expressive range. A headphone test settles it in minutes. What if I would rather use Voxtral directly? Mistral's API costs about $0.016 per minute, five times less than our pack, but with no interface, no player, no invoice and no history: the right choice if you have a developer and volume. Finally, how are credits counted? Per character, spaces included, charged only when the audio is produced; the detail is in the FAQ, and both tools' free tiers are compared on the free AI voice page.
