Frequently asked questions

›How are characters counted?

Every character of the normalised text counts, spaces and punctuation included, after collapsing repeated spaces. 1,000 characters is roughly one minute of voice-over.

›Can I use the audio in my videos or podcasts?

Yes, commercial use (monetised videos, podcasts, courses and client projects) is included for audio generated with credits from all paid packs and subscriptions. The free trial and any free credits are for personal, non-commercial use only. You must comply with the law and third-party rights, and disclose synthetic audio where regulations require it.

›What is the difference between packs and subscriptions?

Packs are one-off payments: 100,000 characters for €9, 300,000 for €24.99 or 1,000,000 for €69.99, valid for 12 months. Subscriptions renew your credits every month: Starter, 60,000 characters for €4.99; Medium, 200,000 for €14.99; Pro, 800,000 for €49.99. Unused subscription credits do not roll over. Cancel anytime to stop the next renewal.

›What does the free plan include?

One 160-character audio trial per day, without an account, to hear a voice read your own text. The trial is for personal use and does not include downloads. Signing up does not add production credits: choose a pack or subscription to produce your audio.

›What happens if a generation fails?

Credits are only charged once the audio has been produced and saved. If a technical failure occurs, they are refunded automatically.

›How long is my audio kept?

90 days in your history, then it is deleted. Download your files to keep them. Submitted texts are not stored: only a technical fingerprint is.

›Can I clone my own voice?

Not yet. Voice cloning (from a few seconds of audio, with consent) is planned for a future release.

›Which languages are available?

English, American (Paul) and British (Oliver, Jane), and French (Marie), each in several tones. More languages will follow as the provider releases dedicated voices.
